I am now brushing my teeth with salt that contains no aluminum. And if I ever feel I cannot trust the table salt to be safe I will start buying sea salt for aquariums from a pet store to brush my teeth with. Fluoride is the active ingredient in rat-poison. When I was diagnosed "schizopjhrenic" THEY absolutely had no idea what it was. Then, in the NIneties it was defined, in Discover Magazine, as "having too much dopamine". It is obvious that THEY have defined "schizophrenia" like this to justify the use of devastating dopamine blockers against us. Yes, it totally "disarms" us, by preoccupying us with our misery. The word schizophrenia is a catch all for over a hundred different brain diseases, many of them unnamed, like Shamans’ Disease, named by the old Soviet Union, and Naloxemia, named, and more common, in France. People with other conditions like heavy metal poisoning, loss of inhibitory neurons from oxygen deprivation, brain lesions from concussions, and sleep disorders. like sleep apnea, have been classified as "schizophrenics". It’s the same here in the UK, they’re quite reluctant to give out sleeping pills. It’s usually easier if you’ve had them before. I first was given nitrazipam and later zopiclone when I was in hospital, probably to stop me from being restless at night and get out of the staff’s hair (!), but later on I could ask for it and say I’d had it before and it worked OK. Then the doctor would give me some sleeping pills. Benzodiazapines are also really hard to get from doctors — kez

Stuart I have found that the antipsychotic meds cause weight gain but I can’t function without them. I get too crazy. Before I was on medication, I was skinny and could eat whatever I wanted. I gained a lot of weight on olanzapine but lost it when I switched meds. Now, I am on geodon which causes less weight gain but I’m still not as thin as I used to be. penguin

Yes THEY have figured out how normal weight regulation works. THEY just haven’t allowed the public to know anything about it. Better be a teapot than a dragon, that’s what I always say. When my mother was a dragon, she was far worse, she behaves much better now that she is a teapot. A long way to go mind you. I don’t know about Daniel Urtiz, I have had him killfiled for years. I have read messages he’s written that express such hatred and chauvinism that I never thought there would be anything he would write that I would be interested in. I hope you never get back into the dark side Kez. Unless it’s the dark side of the moon – it’s fun there. Weightlessness in many respects is as good as flying. It’s like a drug. Being weightless is such a fantastic feeling that it is good to spend time there.

You always seemed such a sweet "innocent" kind of guy, all these recent posts about aggression and the like have been a real eye opener. I have had brushings with magic, contests with witches and wizards and the like. I have many complaints from people that are wandering around the Universe who I have turned into teapots etc. TOUGH, that’s what I say. It was so great (I was a teen-ager) to manage to give my kitty a treat and gross out my sister at the same time. She probably just got the pan. If she had gotten the meat first, she wouldn’t have left it and it would be obvious that she had gotten to it. But kitty spit is harmless to humans unless they have ringworm. I think that is the only thing that crosses the species barrier. But I eat kitty spit frequently and have even swallowed a few hairs. Amber used to love eating off my fork and spoon and sharing my bowl/plate. Personally, I would rather trust kitty spit than most human spit! — CATherine

I myself would not be eating a steak, but let’s just say it was a juicy lamb chop we were talking here…..I cook all meat well done and think my cats’ germs would mostly be killed by the prolonged heat of panfrying. I’d eat it anyway. Do you eat your steak rare? If so, just inside? Kittyspit would only be on the outside, right? Are you not the Wiccan? Are Wiccans afraid of germs? If I, the Hopitus, do not fear Kittyspit, why should any self-respecting Wiccan toss a good steak? LOL.

This is why I put any leftovers AWAY in the fridge immediately. I don’t trust any of my cats NOT to commit very great liberties. (Yes, it’s my fault for never having disciplined them adequately to stay off the counters and stove.) =o) You could try a quick rinse off with warm water if you’re worried. Or pat it with a damp paper towel. But yeah, considering the high cost of meat these days, I’d probably eat the steak anyway after giving it the rinse off. Melissa

Me too. When I was younger, and this happened, I would hear my mother saying "No eating off the same plate, boys and girls!" It always made me giggle to have me and the cat put in the same category. I do the same thing, my cats (except the FIV one) and the d-thing eat off my fork though, and Leonidas likes yoghurt off my spoon. For my FIV positive baby, I will even chew the meat for her (hey, she has problems with her teeth, another problem with FIV). Now, she (FIV) doesn’t eat off my fork or anything, but she gets it from my mouth (I take it out my mouth and put it down for her). I sorted through some of my video tapes last night and left some good ones on top of the heater (it was off, of course). When DH came home he said ‘why are you cooking those videos on the heater!" Yikkes. The video tapes were nicely melted underneath and ready to catch on fire!!!! Nearby sat Bonnie, the smirking arsonist. I remembered that she jumped on the heater earlier then used it as a springboard to get onto the window sill! She is in fine fettle now and fully recovered. I threw out the tapes. Even though I missed the programmes it would have been worse if the house had burned down. I have learned another lesson. Make sure the heater is clear of objects even when it is off. I should have realised that one of them would have eventually turned it on, after all they turn on the washing machine, dishwasher and spa bath!!!! Bev — Cats aren’t clean, they’re just covered with cat spit.

Yeah, I used to hold meditation/Wiccan rituals in my room, but it’s hard to concentrate when a cat is interested in the candles. It’s hard to chant or do whatever when you have to keep checking to see that there aren’t any whiskers on fire. Kristi

The very thought of Bonnie and candles fills me with horror! I really am very careful about fire. I might add that the switches on the top of the heater are hard to turn on. I don’t know how she managed it!!! I have smoke alarms around the place and the kitties are never left alone with the computer as we know what they do to the wires at the back. I keep the spa bath turned off at the wall, ditto with washing machine. When the pair were kittens they managed to singe their tails on the heater though there is a wire grill on the front! So even now I don’t leave them alone with the heater on, sigh. Incidentally, I am always writing about what happens to the kitties, I remember some person answering one of my posts, telling me how cruel and wicked I was allowing a kitty to get hurt like that! (Bonnie’s accident) But what about sympathy for a kitty slave – me!!! The pair regularly arrange themselves in doorways especially to trip us over. Three days ago Bonnie succeeded magnificently. I fell over her and crashed into the corner of a knee-high occasional table. The sharp corner stabbed into the side of my knee and for the last three days I have been tottering around the house using a broom for a crutch!
