 Yes, she is pagan, not sure what trad. Ah, Cerridwen, Demeter & Freya (among others) are "fat pigs" in theriomorphic form, so you MIGHT want to reconsider using that as an insult in Pagan quarters! <g

I don’t know if she is Wiccan but I heard her say she had studied Kabbalah. For thosethat have not heard, it was originally a Jewish Mystic Tradition (now being studied by many others). Since Roseanne was raised Jewish, it makes sense that she would want to learn about it. BB Lynnaea

The article I read seemed to think so…I wish I could find it I’d show you darn. I’m sorry if I was unclear…I was just pointing out that she had, and Wiccan or not, it was nice to see a ‘celebrity figure’ publically (yet indirectly) stand up for her beliefs.  And as far as I know, she has not been persecuted for it, as Stevie Nicks is occasionally.  BTW, I have heard interviews in which Ms. Nicks stated that she was Christian (she has been seen wearing a crucifix) and sometimes she is vague about labelling herself w/ a religion…however she also said while she is Christian she considers herself a Witch…she isn’t necessarily Wiccan, b/c not all Witches are Wiccan, and not all Wiccans are Witches. Hey Maddie, Sorry if I sounded snappish in the last post. I think I’m just defensive from living in the heart of the Latter Day Saints (Mormons) stronghold. You would be amazed at how many people are former Mormon missionaries. (Anton LeVay, Marylin Manson, Alice Cooper, among others.) If you find the article about Cybil, I’d love to read it.

Stevie gets portrayed as a Wiccan because of her mystical stage personna but truly she has admitted to being a Christian…especially after this fiasco with the church in Arkansas.  She has admitted before that all the mystical stuff she does on stage is only for show…(although she has been known to refer to "Rhiannon" as though she were a real person or perhaps a Goddess figure (to some of us she is ) such as in the liners to her boxed set in reference to the song "Rhiannon has grown up a lot in the last few years"…mind you she did pick the name out of a book called "Triad" about a woman who had split personalities…) Anyway more useless Stevie trivia heehee ~*~Rhiannyn La Tempete~*~ ~*~Inspired by the Storm "Lady! This is what I’ve heard in the rumor mill.  (This does not mean they are pagan.)  Stevie Nicks is one.  Enya, Kate Bush, Cybil Sherpard are others I’ve heard. If anyone’s read Travels by Michael Crichton should know that at least in the late 80’s, he was heavily into the New Age movement.  (I also strongely recommend Travels.  It is his best book.) I’m    Although I would suspect otherwise, Stevie Nicks has denied ever being a witch several times and in several interviews.  Kate Bush is a member of the Society Of the Inner Light, now called Servants of the light, a group founded by Dion Fortune.  As for Enya  she has stated  that she is a good Catholic, on NPR interview.  Sorry if it burst anyones bubble. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text –
