Does anyone know the names of the series of books that Nora Roberts wrote about a family of witches.  They’re kind of romance-like.  I read them a few years ago and would love to reread them. Thanks. — Tae

    Response:

I am in search of novels with witches or Wicca as main components.  I already have Book of Moons, The Witch’s Blade, and Speak Daggers to Her. I am in search of more. TIA Fachea

Never heard of the ones you mention.  In addition to the suggestions of others:           Mercedes Lackey’s _Fire_Rose_ was an excellent novel.  Not about witches, though, but an excellent book on magic and elementals.         I think there is an anthology called _The Ultimate Witch_ by Dell Books.         Two paperbacks that are *very* Wiccan:         _Indiana Jones and the White Witch_         _Cat Magic_ by Whitley Strieber ~ ~ ~ The acrid air is heavy with hate ~ and a question hangs in the haze- ~ When Will You Rage?     (W:tA) ~ ~From the Void of Infinite Possibilites, ~I am Night’s Shadow ~

    Response:

Rosemary Edghill has a new "Bast" novel out (in hardcover) called "The Bowl of Night". I just finished it last night (or early this morning), and I really enjoyed it. If you liked "Speak Daggers to Her" and "Book of Moons", you probably will, too. She’s got a web site where you can read a sample of it (and some of her other books)–it’s at <http://www.sff.net/people/eluki. For those of you not familiar with this series, these books are mysteries, and the protagonist is a NYC Wiccan named Bast. Mia

    Response:

Barbara Michaels’ newest, The Dancing Floor has a wiccan theme.

    Response:

Gael Baudino’s books have a Wiccan (though Dianic) side to them (this is nothing against Dianics, just an observation.

<Does anyone know the names of the series of books that Nora Roberts

wrote I LOVED that series!!!!  Very well done The series is "The Donovan Legacy"  Charmed, Captivated, and Entranced….unfortunately they are SO popular that they are TOTALLY unobtainable.  I even tryed asking Nora ROberts(who’s Husband OWNS a used book store)  no luck….the only hore is that Silhouette might reissue the book(they have done it for other series)

Thank you so much!  I’ve waited quite a while for someone to reply to my post.  That’s right, now I remember, the Donovan’s, I loved those books so much and I hope to find them someday.  Thank you again,                                         Tae

Have you read Marion Zimmer Bradley’s "Mists of Avalon" or "The Forest House"?   How about Ravenwolf’s new fiction?  I haven’t read Ravenwolf’s but I know it’s about witches.  I like Bradley’s two novels a lot. They’re both really great books. — Later, Cerridwen

    Response:

There’s Mercedes Lackey’s Diana Tregarde books, of course, which I thought kind of light and fluffy but fun to read on a plane trip. Starhawk has written two futuristic novels: The Fifth Sacred Thing and Walking to Mercury. Silver Ravenwolf wrote Beneath A Mountain Moon, which has a Wiccan protagonist. Gerald Gardner wrote some fiction, as did Dion Fortune. If you liked the Rosemary Edghill books, she also writes sci-fi under the name Eluki bes Shahar. Not Wiccan-themed, of course, but I liked them quite a bit. For books with Pagan themes, there’s a much longer list. Marion Zimmer Bradley, Charles deLint, Ellen Kushner, Emma Bull, Will Shetterly, Steven Brust, Midori Snyder, Terri Windling, Patricia McKinley, etc. Mostly fantasy novels, though some of deLint ends up in general fiction. Hope this helps.
