Just seeing the word fills any decent person with a combination of revulsion and anger. Doubly so for those of us who are parents and treasure the children the Gods have given us.  It is incomprehensible how anyone could be so low, so cold, so devoid of any characteristics of humanity that they would steal a child’s innocence and destroy their youth just to satisfy a sick, twisted, and perverted desire to hurt what is defenseless and defile what is innocent. It is a word for an act that an entire thesaurus full of synonyms for "horrible" could not begin to describe. Unfortunately, it is a word we are hearing all to often nowadays in the Pagan Community. Not in reference to an actual act, but as a vehicle for hate. Here in my community, we have a Pagan retreat center ( www.campgaea.com ). This place has, for ten years, been a refuge for people of all paths and ways of life. In those ten years, there has never been a problem, no crimes have been committed, and the police have never once been summoned. The land is empty most of the time and, when it is occupied, it is by peaceful Pagans who respect the Earth. This year, the Leavenworth County Commission has decided not to renew the Camp’s permit because a group of hate-filled bigots got together and signed a petition opposing the permit. Their reason was that they are intolerant xians who hate the idea of others living as they wish, but of course they could not say that. What they did say was that the nudity allowed at Camp, the fact that gay people hold events there, and some of the other events mentioned on the web site indicated that there was a potential for- you guessed it- pedophilia. There was, of course, absolutely no justification for this however they knew that the mere use of this hated word would cause hackles to rise and the righteous anger of parents and decent people everywhere cause them to rally to the cause. They used this hateful word as a weapon. This brings me to the reason for this post. I am more than a little sickened and angry at something that took place on ARW today. As those of you who have the stomach to read his posts know, Carl Salonen has been using this word as a weapon of hate against me. He has been telling everyone that he has "evidence" (which he can’t produce because it does not exists) that I am on trial for- once again- pedophilia. As I noted above, I am sort of used to the practitioners of mindless hate using this word to provoke angry emotions in others. I have been ignoring his lies because I hoped he would give it up and move on to yet another of his  ridiculous and baseless accusations (Do you know what Carl said when I made a post about the possible closing of Gaea? "Good."). Another thing we know about Carl is that he makes posts designed to look like someone "sockpuppeting" him. He posts as some imitation of himself saying embarrassing and incriminating things so he can claim that he is the "victim" of an attack by me to further justify his hate. Today he went too far. He has been encouraged by another member of this group buying into his lies about me so he posted as "himself" offering up his own child for sex in an effort to get people to think it was me. I have seen some nasty, disgusting stuff on these groups but this is a new low. What kind of sick and twisted mind could even THINK of such a thing, let alone write it down and post it in a public place? I have never had a good opinion of Carl but now he has shown us all what a filthy animal he really is. What makes me so angry about this is not the assault on my character but the fact that this word has been used as a weapon so much that it minimizes the pain and suffering of those poor innocent children who have actually fallen victim to these psychotic fuckers for whom no punishment is painful or long-lasting enough. Every time some hate monger like Carl or the Leavenworth xians trot it out, the injured kids get lost a little further down in the shuffle. These idiots use the pain of babies simply to promote their own hatred and, next the ones who actually commit this sickening deed, they are guilty of hurting them as well. My mind can not even go as far as to imagine the pain and confusion on these poor kids lying in the darkness and wondering what has happened to them, yet these hard-hearted and passionless cowards see nothing more than another way to spread their loathsome garbage. If you read the news today, you know that British authorities with the cooperation of Demon Internet and a coalition of law enforcement arrested seven people in the UK and carried out 130 raids in 19 countries in a global sweep against Internet child pornography. Can you guess where these disgusting animals were spreading their filth?
